I offer engaging, community centered workshops that help people preserve collective memory, amplify community voices, and share stories that matter to them. My offerings include the basics of archiving, oral history, archival research, and community engagement, and I am always open to collaborating to create unique sessions shaped by your needs and vision.
Past workshops include the Highlander Research and Education Center, Royal Oak Public Library, Mt. Clemens Public Library, BLM Detroit, and more.
Consultations
I provide custom 1:1 consultation to help individuals, organizations, and communities bring their beloved archival projects to life. I offer support at every stage from ideation and execution to activation and evaluation. Drawing on my personal and professional experience developing archives, I offer accessible and intentional support for projects of all sizes and stages of development.
Presentations
From classrooms and conferences to museums and community gatherings, I use speaking engagements to inspire people to see the archivist within themselves and embrace the power of preserving and sharing their stories. My work often focuses on but is not limited to Black Detroit history, radical archiving, and Black feminism.
Past speaking engagements include the American Association of Geographers, Queens College, the University of Michigan, Charles H. Wright Museum, the National Park Service, AARP, and more.
